It is with great pleasure that we extend a heartfelt welcome to you for the upcoming Oxford GlobalMUN – SHSID Model United Nations Conference 2024, a premier Model United Nations event that promises to be both enlightening and enriching. This highly anticipated conference will take place in the vibrant city of Shanghai from 4th to April 6th, 2024.
Building on the legacy of our successful Oxford Global SHSID conferences, we are delighted to return to the city after our last event in 2019. Our commitment to providing valuable experiences for delegates of all levels remains unwavering, and we have an exciting array of committees ready for you.
Oxford GlobalMUN – SHSID Model United Nations Conference 2024 will feature a diverse range of committees, with a particular emphasis on General Assembly committees, ensuring a comprehensive and stimulating experience for all participants. We have carefully curated topics that will challenge and engage delegates, fostering an environment conducive to learning, collaboration, and skill development.
Our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering personal growth remains at the forefront of our mission. Beyond the committee sessions, we will discuss university applications and public speaking, and provide an environment where delegates can learn a variety of skills. Our chairs are all Oxford University students excited to share their experience and knowledge with delegates.

Established in 1865, Shanghai High School has an overall size of 340 mu (223,617square meters) and is historically one of the most well-known schools in China as well as around the world. Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID) was founded in 1993. At present, approximately 3,100 students from over 43 countries and regions are enrolled. SHSID became an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school in 1995. SHSID is authorized by the College Board to administer AP, SAT and PSAT exams and is an authorized TOEFL exam center. Since 2014, SHSID has been approved as an International AS & A-Level School. In 2018, SHSID was awarded accreditation by AdvancED (COGNIATM).
上海中学成立于1865年,校园占地规模340亩(223617平方米),是中外历史上最知名的的学校之一。1993年6月1日,上海市教育委员会批准成立上海中学国际部(简称上中国际/SHSID),现有来自43多个不同国家和地区的约3100名学生。1995年,上中国际加入IB国际文凭组织。上中国际同时也是由College Board授权的AP、SAT和PSAT的考试中心和由ETS授权的托福考试中心。2014 年上中国际成为国际AS & A-Level学校,2018年通过美国AdvancED (COGNIATM)认证。

Conference Fees & Payment
The conference fee for each delegate is RMB 1,780, which includes:
- Conference materials fee
- In-session meal expenses (school cafeteria, lunch on April 4th, lunch and dinner on April 5th, lunch on April 6th)
- Pre-conference online academic training fee
- Insurance fee
- Government taxes
Not including:
- Accommodation expenses
- Personal expenses

2 – Refund Policy: Once national seats are allocated and confirmed, delegate conference fees will not be refundable. Prior to this, if unable to attend the conference due to objective reasons, please contact the conference organizing committee.
Conference Accommodation
1 – Accommodation for designated representatives for this conference will be provided by the Shanghai Yuanlin Grandscape Hotel (conference hotel) at a rate of RMB 650.00 per room per night (standard room, including double breakfast, inclusive of taxes).
2 – Representatives needing to book hotel accommodation, please submit your hotel booking requirements (number of rooms, check-in and check-out times) to the committee personnel after completing registration and payment. Due to limited availability of rooms at the designated conference hotel, bookings will be on a first-come, first-served basis until fully booked.
3 – If the Shanghai Yuanlin Grandscape Hotel is fully booked, representatives are advised to refer to the recommended hotels in the table below for self-booking.
